Robert Devincentis, D.C.
Dr. Robert DeVincentis, known as "Dr. D," is a nationally and state board-certified Chiropractic Physician based in Jacksonville, Florida. As the founder of Intracoastal Wellness Center, he specializes in sports injuries and the rehabilitation of chronic spinal conditions. With decades of experience in fitness, sports, and chiropractic care, Dr. D provides personalized, results-driven treatment to professional athletes and active individuals seeking optimal performance and recovery.
Dr. D's journey into chiropractic care began in high school, following a significant neck injury sustained while playing football. After weeks of limited progress with conventional medical treatment, he sought chiropractic care and was amazed at the rapid, drug-free recovery he experienced. This transformative encounter inspired him to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine, allowing him to combine his passion for sports with his desire to help others.
Beyond his medical career, Dr. D has achieved remarkable success in the world of competitive bodybuilding. He holds titles as Mr. Natural Georgia and Mr. Atlanta, and between 2019 and 2021, he secured seven bodybuilding championships. In July 2021, Dr. D earned his International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) professional card in the Masters Classic Bodybuilding division by winning the prestigious NPC Universe competition. He continued his winning streak in June 2022, taking first place at the Puerto Rico Professional Classic Bodybuilding championship in the masters division.
With a deep understanding of biomechanics, nutrition, and physical conditioning, Dr. D combines his personal experience as an elite athlete with his expertise in chiropractic care to deliver exceptional results for his patients, including professional athletes who trust him with their recovery and performance.
Dr. DeVincentis graduated from The College of New Jersey in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1997 he graduated from Life University School of Chiropractic and immediately started practice in Jacksonville, FL. He also has been a certified personal trainer for numerous years by the American Council on Exercise. Dr. DeVincentis is also certified in Chiropractic Physiotherapy from New York Chiropractic College. He has treated over 10,000 patients, many of which are local professional athletes. Dr. DeVincentis also has treated and still treats many NFL athletes and professional bodybuilders. Dr. DeVincentis and his family call Jacksonville home.
James Rippa, D.C.
Dr. James Rippa is a dedicated and experienced chiropractic physician committed to improving the health and well-being of his patients through manual and effective chiropractic care.
Dr. Rippa attended Elon University where he got his B.S in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science and the University of Bridgeport where he earned his Doctorate of chiropractic degree, obtaining his chiropractic license in 2005.
With over 20 years of experience in the field, Dr. Rippa has honed his expertise in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sports-related injuries. He utilizes evidence-based techniques such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitative exercises to promote long-term wellness.
Dr. Rippa purchased Intracoastal Wellness Center in 2024 and has since been working with Dr. DeVincentis to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages. His approach focuses on personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care. Dr. Rippa is dedicated to helping his patients achieve a pain-free and healthier lifestyle. He welcomes new patients and looks forward to making a positive impact on their journey to wellness.
